Digidude is the trade name of Karel Goethals, a sole proprietorship under Belgian law, with registered office at Brugsesteenweg 38/ bus 0001, Wenduine 8420, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 1000.742.763 and with VAT number BE1000.742.763. Digidude is the controller for personal data processed through www.digidude.be.

When you use the contact form or a form for a quote or project request, Digidude may process your name, company name, email address, phone number, project information, budget or planning information, message and uploaded files.

When visiting the website, technical data may also be processed, such as your IP address, browser type, device, operating system, language, visited pages, referring page, interactions, date and time, cookie preferences and online identifiers.

Digidude does not intentionally ask for sensitive personal data. Only provide such data when it is necessary for your request.

Digidude processes personal data to answer questions and project requests, prepare a possible collaboration, deliver services, follow up agreements and administration, keep the website secure and technically functional, analyse website use and, after consent, measure the effectiveness of communication and advertising.

Depending on the purpose, processing is based on one of these legal grounds: your consent; the preparation or performance of an agreement; a legal obligation; or Digidude’s legitimate interest in security, customer management, administration and improving its services. When consent is the legal ground, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Data from contact and project forms is used to handle your request, ask for additional information, prepare a collaboration proposal and communicate with you about it.

A request that does not lead to a collaboration is generally deleted no later than two years after the last meaningful contact, unless longer retention is needed to handle a dispute or comply with a legal obligation. Customer and project data is kept as long as necessary for the collaboration, services, warranty, evidence and administration. Accounting and tax documents are kept for the applicable legal retention period.

Digidude does not sell personal data. Data may, where necessary, be shared with service providers for hosting, email, cloud storage, website management, analytics, advertising measurement, accounting and technical support. These parties process data only within their role and according to applicable privacy terms.

For this website, Google Ireland Limited, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, the hosting provider and providers of embedded social media content may receive data. When an external service is directly responsible for its own processing, that service’s privacy policy also applies.

Personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. In that case, Digidude or the relevant provider uses a valid transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Digidude takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or unlawful alteration. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely risk-free.

Within the conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Send your request to karel@digidude.be. Digidude may ask for additional information to verify your identity. You will generally receive a response within one month; for complex requests this period may be extended as provided by law.

You also have the right to file a complaint directly with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, via www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be. You do not have to contact Digidude first, although Digidude is happy to try to resolve any issue directly.

Cookies are small text files that can be stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and local storage, can be used for the same purposes. In this policy they are jointly referred to as cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies may be placed without consent when they are needed to provide the website or an explicitly requested function. Analytics, marketing and social media cookies are only activated after you have given consent.

9.1 Strictly necessary cookies: these cookies are required for technical operation, security, form functionality and remembering your cookie preferences. They cannot be disabled through the cookie banner. Retention is generally for the session duration up to a maximum of twelve months for stored cookie preferences.

9.2 Google Analytics 4: after consent, Digidude uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. Typical cookies are _ga and _ga_<MEASUREMENT-ID>, generally with a maximum duration of two years.

9.3 Google Tag Manager: Google Tag Manager is used to technically manage tags and scripts. Tag Manager normally does not place analytics cookies itself, but can activate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and other services according to your consent choice.

9.4 Meta Pixel: after consent, Digidude may use Meta Pixel to measure visits and actions, build audiences and evaluate ads. Typical cookies are _fbp and, when a visit comes from a Meta ad, _fbc. These are generally kept for up to three months.

9.5 Social media embeds: the website may contain embedded content from Instagram and Facebook. This content is loaded only after consent. Cookie names and retention periods differ per platform and may change.

On your first visit, you can accept necessary cookies, refuse non-essential cookies or choose per category. Accept and refuse must be equally easy to access. Pre-ticked consent is not used.

You can later change or withdraw your choice through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the website. You can also remove or block cookies through your browser. Some functions may then work less well. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Cookies and services may change because of updates to the website or external platforms. Digidude therefore regularly checks which cookies are actually placed and updates this policy and the cookie banner where necessary. The concrete cookie list in the consent tool or cookie settings forms the most current technical overview together with this policy.

Digidude may update this cookie and privacy policy when the website, services or legislation change. The most recent version is published on the website with the date. Important changes may require new consent.
